Brexit aside, 2019 and beyond will bring a new set of challenges for all businesses as the Government takes steps to introduce its Good Work Plan. In addition to this, the second set of gender pay gap reports are due to be published in April and Courts, Tribunals and employers will continue to grapple with the issues of employment status.
The year also promises decisions in a number of key cases, including on the question as to whether it is either directly or indirectly discriminatory against men for an employer to pay enhanced maternity pay but only statutory pay for shared parental pay.
