Increasingly, predominantly for tax savings reasons, clients are choosing to acquire the company which owns the UK real estate asset rather than purchasing the real estate asset itself and we work in conjunction with our corporate colleagues on such transactions, undertaking due diligence on the company and assessing its liabilities, and ensuring clients are suitably protected by the warranties given by the seller.
