Home / News and Insights / Insights / The 10,000 Black Interns programme: Meet Nicole

As part of the 10,000 Black Interns programme, Nicole reflects on her time at BDB Pitmans.

Nicole Ebo

What about BDB Pitmans appealed to you before you accepted your internship?

What appealed to me the most about BDB Pitman’s was their brand values on how they work really well together and how they present themselves to potential clients. Also, they don’t just focus on the law side, they have different sectors such as marketing, a graphic design sector which appealed to me the most since I study Graphic design at Uni.

What did you enjoy most about your internship with BDB Pitmans?

I would say supportive, motivated, and persistence and I would say that because with my experience here at BDB, everyone that I asked for help they have been supportive however they can whether that is to check up on me or help. Motivated and Persistent because they always look to theirs clients’ needs and always finds a solution to cases.

If you were to describe our company culture in three words, what would they be?

What I enjoy most about this internship, is how all of the staff that I have met are so welcoming to me and make me feel that I am part of a team. Also, I enjoy the different work that I have been given because it gives an insight to what the BDB Marketing team is about and contribute.

What project that are you working on in your present role that you’ve enjoyed the most?

A recent project that I have been given from the Business Development Team is to do some research on big / start-up Tech companies and identify the roles of individuals that work in each company and what their main responsibilities consist of. Also another task that is linked to the first one is to identify key ESG law firms and as well as head of sustainability firms too.

Another project that I am currently doing is designing a poster / flyer for their new Mental Health First Aiders program which I have to figure out who they are first and then find an image of them just so employees or clients know who they are and how to contact them.
