The 10,000 Interns programme: Meet Asiyah
1. What about BDB Pitmans appealed to you before you accepted your internship?
I was initially attracted to the firm’s niche and varying service offering. This differentiated BDB Pitmans from other city firms and aligned with my yearning to learn more about law in practice.
2. What are you enjoying most about your internship with BDB Pitmans?
I have thoroughly enjoyed the people element of the internship. It is a firm where everyone is approachable, whether that is in the lifts or in the kitchen. It is nice to see an openness and willingness to help, ranging from trainee level to partnership.
3. If you were to describe our company culture in three words, what would they be?
I would describe the company culture as ‘supportive’, ‘unique’, and ‘welcoming’.
4. Of the projects you have been working on here, which has been of particular interest to you and why?
Having just finished my seat in the PIP team, I had the opportunity to work on a solar farm project. This particular project provides energy to 167,000 homes and displaces 11,400,000 tonnes of CO2 (from equivalent fossil fuel energy), demonstrating a glimpse of the firm’s impactful work.
