BDB Pitmans has advised Giles Travel in its acquisition by family-owned travel management company Gray Dawes Group.

The acquisition increases the Group’s annual turnover beyond £150 million and staff numbers to above the 200 mark.

Multi-award winning travel management company Giles Travel brings its expertise and innovative use of technology to the deal, as well as a multitude of esteemed clients.

With a focus on business travel management with a ‘personal touch’, The Giles Group encompasses not only business travel but events, luxury leisure and marketing too and the combined company boasts a competitive and unique offering in the crowded market.

Stephanie Perry, corporate partner at BDB Pitmans, led the deal, having previously acted for co-founders David and Mandy Giles in the sale of their last travel company in 2000. She was assisted by solicitors Jennifer Evans and Richard Tweed who advised on the real estate aspects of the deal.

David Giles, chairman of Giles Travel, says:

‘Both Gray Dawes and The Giles Group have invested heavily in staff as well as client facing and back office technology. This is the second acquisition that Stephanie and her team have managed for us and they have delivered to an exceptionally high and professional standard as always.’

Stephanie Perry, corporate partner at BDB Pitmans said:

‘It’s always a pleasure to work with a client where we have a very long-standing relationship. The deal provides a fantastic opportunity for growth for Giles Travel and I look forward to seeing their success continue in years to come.’
