BDB Pitmans shortlisted at National Sustainability Awards 2023

We are delighted to share that BDB Pitmans has been nominated for Major Project of the Year at the National Sustainability Awards 2023. We were shortlisted for this award based on our involvement in the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier project, led by partner Sarah Clark.
Our submission showcases the innovative and ground-breaking work BDB Pitmans has undertaken to support the Environment Agency in its Bridgwater Tidal Barrier project which aims to protect Bridgwater and its surrounds from devastating tidal flooding, ensuring the long-term sustainability and resilience of the community.
Taking place for the third consecutive year, the National Sustainability Awards seeks great stories of innovation and breadth of impact across all sectors that can help build a more sustainable and better future. Though presented as a celebration, the awards also serve to show how our society can, with good leadership, move through the post-pandemic recovery into a new and more sustainable path. The organisations shortlisted for the awards represent the best in every category, from finance to renewables, from insulation to water conservation. They recognise that every industry is important to ensure that future generations will be able to live in a cleaner, greener world.
