BDB Pitmans supports City Giving Day

This International Charity Day, leading UK law firm, BDB Pitmans, is pleased to announce that it will join over 500 companies in support of City Giving Day.
Founded in 2015, this unique annual event brings together businesses from across the City to celebrate volunteering and philanthropy. The event celebrates the positive impact City businesses have on their local communities and enables employers and employees alike to come together to celebrate and showcase their charitable and volunteering achievements.
City Giving Day is one of several initiatives linked to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal – a strategy that aims to create A Better City for All by making a broader commitment to creating a fair society – namely one in which everyone has the same opportunities regardless of class, age, disability, race, gender, sexual orientation or identity. The Appeal delivers a number of thought leadership initiatives, which, like City Giving Day, are designed to offer learning, development and engagement opportunities for employees across the Square Mile. Funds raised as part of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal will be used to support the work of its three charity partners – National Numeracy, MQ Mental Health Research and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Andrew Smith, Managing Partner at BDB Pitmans, commented:
‘We are proud to support City Giving Day. Whether small businesses or large corporations, it is important that we take our collective responsibility to making a positive wider impact seriously and that we continue to invest in the communities that surround us. This is a great opportunity to come together with our counterparts to celebrate the diverse charitable efforts taking place across the City and to raise vital funds for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal charity and its partners.’
On 26 September, BDB Pitmans will be raising funds by hosting a quiz, led by quizmaster Nick Boardman from QuizNick.com, at its London headquarters. To find out more about the quiz or to register your team, please visit our events page.
