BDB Pitmans works with East Suffolk Council on the delivery of the Lowestoft Flood Risk Management Project
BDB Pitmans is proud to be working with East Suffolk Council in its delivery of the Lowestoft Flood Risk Management Project and wishes to celebrate a significant milestone as the Project holds its official ground breaking ceremony today.
The Project is delivering significant flood defence structures in the area around the Port of Lowestoft to protect the town of Lowestoft from future tidal surges. As the climate changes, coastal towns such as Lowestoft are increasingly at risk of flooding but with £67 million of funding, including funding from the Government’s Green Recovery Fund, the Environment Agency and New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, the Project’s partners are looking to protect Lowestoft now and safeguard its future.
Lead by infrastructure planning partners Nick Evans and Sarah Clark, and commercial real estate legal director Katy Klingopulos, we are working with the Council, together with their consultants and project team to engage with local third parties and facilitate the start of this important work.
Further information about the Project can be found here.
