Bircham Dyson Bell named Planning Law Firm of the Year at Planning Awards 2018

Bircham Dyson Bell is delighted to be the winner of ‘Planning Law Firm of the Year’ at the Planning Awards 2018.

The specialist awards recognise excellence in both planning and placemaking, with the ‘Planning Law Firm of the Year’ category rewarding outstanding legal advice that has enabled clients to have a positive impact on the physical or environmental quality of a place or places, and / or the economic or social well-being of a community or communities.

The ceremony hosted at Savoy Place in London took place on Wednesday 6 June, bringing together professionals across the industry for a night of celebration and networking. The win follows the planning and infrastructure team’s recent recognition at the Legal Business Awards and also The Lawyer Awards.

Mark Challis, Head of the Planning and Infrastructure team, commented:

‘We are delighted to have won this award in recognition of our work on the much needed Boston Barrier flood defence scheme, working alongside the team from the Environment Agency. Steering complex projects through the consenting process is at the heart of the work of the team and we appreciate the recognition of our expertise in this area as reflected in this award.’
