David Mundy
Partner & Parliamentary Agent

On 15 November 2018, two MPs, both former lawyers, resigned from their ministerial posts over the draft Brexit deal.  A recent article by The Times’ Brief discusses law firms’ views on the matter.

David Mundy, partner and parliamentary agent at Bircham Dyson Bell, said of the prime minister,

‘A resignation following reflection on the events of Thursday morning must be on the cards.’

He also speculated that the possible outcome would be:

‘A leadership challenge with Brexiteers and Remainers likely to put their hats in the ring. With the government’s deal now before the commons a vote of confidence in the government is looking ever more likely.’
