MEDays Forum 2019: Stuart Thomson on ‘communication, marketing and elections’ and ‘Brexit: negotiating the impossible’
The annual MEDays Forum, organised by the Amadeus Institute, takes place over four days in November and holds over 30 sessions and panels. Bringing together a community of nearly 150 high-level speakers from five continents, the forum is attended by over 3,000 participants each year. Now in its 12th year, the forum has become one of the main international geo-strategic events in Africa and the Arab World.
This year’s speakers included Excellency Macky Sall, the President of Senegal; Excellency Bio Julius Maada, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone; and Excellency Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ghana.
Stuart Thomson, our head of public affairs, spoke at one of the panels on ‘Communication, Marketing and Elections’ along with Mamadou Thlam, Special Adviser to Macky Sall; and Scott Goodstein and Teddy Goff, both leaders in social media campaigning and advisers to President Obama. The panel session can be viewed here.
The second panel was on ‘Brexit: Negotiating The Impossible’ with Bill Rammell, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire and former Foreign Office minister and Professor Elvire Fabry of IEP Paris.
