News on the Block honours two real estate partners in Hot 100

News on the Block has released their annual Hot 100 feature and Hema Anand and John Stephenson have been listed for another year. The feature considers a range of professionals which include leasehold campaigners, Parliamentarians, trade and professional bodies, managing agents, building owners, investors, developers, valuers, and lawyers, to highlight the most influential people within the Property Management industry. Entries are gathered subjectively according to the publication’s knowledge and experience of the industry.
- Hema Anand is a partner with over 17 years’ experience in all areas of high net worth residential property and leasehold enfranchisement. She is recognised for successfully handling group actions and complicated enfranchisement claims. Awarded Highly Commended at the EMRAs for three years, Hema is a residential property expert for City AM newspaper, and is regularly approached to comment or write on current residential property issues in the press.
- John Stephenson served the first ever collective enfranchisement claim notice on the day the 1993 Act came into force and continues to be a leading practitioner in leasehold reform. Acting for leaseholders on all the main PCL estates, John has been involved in many leading court and tribunal cases, including the recent landmark case, Sloanne Stanley v Mundy (Court of Appeal). To ensure that the freehold project is a long term success, John also advises on many complex management issues.
