Andrew is a former Managing Partner of the firm. He was elected in 2016 and led on the merger between Bircham Dyson Bell and Pitmans in 2018 which formed BDB Pitmans. He stepped down at the end of 2023 to focus on his real estate practice.
Andrew’s real estate expertise covers a wide range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, investment, regeneration, and development. He also specialises in the real estate aspects of major infrastructure schemes, in particular those authorised by Development Consent Orders (DCO) and by Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAO).
Andrew is Chair of the Culture Mile Business Improvement District, a new Business Improvement District (BID) in the City of London. He was also previously Chair of the Victoria Westminster BID.
Career highlights
- Advising National Grid on the Hinkley Point C Connection 60km power line DCO. Lead the team involved in acquisition of rights from approximately 300 land owners
- Advising on the Nemo Link cross channel interconnector project and acquisition of rights to lay new cable
- Advising TfL on the Victoria Station Upgrade and Emirates Air Line
