Anna Stanworth

Senior Associate

Profile

Services

Anna advises on a broad range of family matters, including divorce, financial remedies, private children issues, marital agreements, and cohabitation disputes. She deals with international and high-net-worth cases and is particularly adept at navigating difficult legal matters in a pragmatic and client-friendly manner. Anna prides herself on being diligent and approachable and has been commended by clients for her ability to ‘manage all the fine detail in a case whilst being able to keep her eye on the big picture’ (Legal500 testimonial).

Her financial remedy cases often involve high-net-worth individuals with complicated financial assets and international issues. Anna’s career highlights have included complicated financial dynastic family estates, domestic and international trusts, international properties, unusual pension arrangements, venture capital assets, and unvested shares. As a result of her work with high-net-worth individuals, Anna often works with other lawyers, accountants, international tax advisors, pension experts, Trust advisors and Family Offices, both in this country and in other jurisdictions, in order to obtain results for her clients.

She also drafts prenuptial and postnuptial agreements as well as cohabitation agreements to regulate the financial matters during a couple’s relationship.

Additionally, Anna successfully acts for both mothers and fathers in a wide range of Children Act cases. Her cases include child arrangements order applications to determine where a child will live and how often they will spend time with the other parent, as well as more complex specific issue applications such as leave to remove cases where the court’s permission is being sought for one parent to relocate overseas with their child without the agreement of the other parent. Anna is also experienced in dealing with Schedule 1 Children Act proceedings where financial applications are made for the benefit of a child.

Anna is one of Spear’s 500 recommended family lawyers and is also ranked in Legal500.
