Anna Stanworth Anna Stanworth

Anna Stanworth

Senior Associate

Profile

Services

Anna advises on a broad range of family matters including divorce, financial remedies, private children issues, marital agreements and cohabitation disputes. She has experience with applying for expedited divorce proceedings, issuing a divorce petition under the ‘lock and key’ procedure and has dealt with cases involving jurisdiction races where parties rush to issue divorce proceedings in different countries.

Her financial remedy cases often involve high net worth individuals with complicated financial assets and international issues. Recent cases have involved farming assets, properties abroad, unusual pension arrangements and unvested shares. Anna also drafts prenuptial and postnuptial agreements as well as cohabitation agreements to regulate the financial matters during a couple’s relationship.

She successfully acts for both mothers and fathers in a wide range of Children Act cases including child arrangements order applications (to determine a child’s residency and how often they will spend time with the other parent), leave to remove applications (to determine if a parent is given the court’s permission to relocate overseas with their child without the agreement of the other parent) and summary return applications (in cases where one parent has unilaterally removed a child from the country where they were habitually resident). Anna is also experienced in dealing with Schedule 1 Children Act proceedings where financial applications are made for the benefit of a child.
