Aranya Tharumakunarajah

Aranya is an associate in the planning team, having recently completed their second year of training and has previously completed seats in the corporate, planning, infrastructure and public law, and litigation teams.

In her final seat, Aranya is currently working in the commercial real estate team where she is advising clients in relation to COVID-19, and assisting with leasehold transactions, acquisitions, disposals and portfolio management.

Whilst in the litigation team she assisted on a variety of disputes concerning  property, probate, public law and professional regulatory issues, along with international commercial claims.

Whilst in the planning, infrastructure and public law team, she assisted with advising on a range of nationally significant infrastructure projects, the drafting of legislation (in particular clean air zones) and advising public bodies on the extent of their powers.

In her first seat with the corporate team, she assisted with restructuring deals, listings on the Main Market and wider corporate law and finance matters. She also led (under supervision) the buyback of bona vacantia shares.
