Ashley is a solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial department, having just completed their second year of training in the white collar crime and investigations team. Ashley has assisted individuals and corporates in respect of regulatory and criminal matters, which has included assisting clients in preparing for and attending interviews under caution, assisting the team with a major public inquiry and advising clients in respect of FCA authorisation and the approved persons regime.
During his third seat in the planning, infrastructure and public law team, Ashley was involved with drafting Parliamentary bills, assisting with proposed Development Consent Orders and Transport and Works Act Orders applications, and advising public bodies on the extent of their powers.
During his second seat, Ashley sat within the private wealth team and was involved in a number of probate matters, the drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and trust documentation such as deeds of appointment.
Prior to this, Ashley gained experience in the firm’s corporate team where he was involved in the listing of companies on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, a takeover by way of scheme of arrangement and wider corporate law and finance matters. This included assisting with due diligence, verification and reviewing facility and security agreements.
