Ellen is a commercial property lawyer with a broad practice covering all aspects of property asset management (landlord and tenant, acquisitions and disposals), as well as particular specialisms in development and property finance.
In her development practice she routinely acts for both landowners and developers in the public and private sectors, ensuring her ability to see any transaction from both sides.
On the property finance side, Ellen routinely acts for private banks taking security over UK property, often via a variety of offshore structures resulting in a multitude of lawyers and professional advisors involved in a single transaction. Recent transactions include advising on security for a loan facility of £15 million in a tight timescale and advising on de-enveloping arrangements to allow the transfer of a property to a beneficiary whilst protecting the bank’s interest.
Ellen’s clients prize her ability to provide commercial advice and pragmatic solutions.
