Katie is a legal director in the firm’s residential real estate team. She advises clients on all types of residential property matters, from buying their first home to collectively enfranchising the block of flats of which they are a leaseholder.
Katie started her career as a social housing lawyer acting on behalf of registered providers from shared ownership resales, staircasing, deeds of grant, wayleave agreements, large scale charging exercises, purchases, sales, lease extensions and many other small land transactions.
Following this, she then specialised in leasehold enfranchisement including statutory lease extensions, collective enfranchisement and the right of first refusal pursuant to Section 5 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987.
""'Katie Lewis. Highly impressed with the way she calmly assisted a mutual client in understanding and progressing what initially appeared to be a difficult claim for a lease extension from an unhelpful landlord to resolving it happily’.
