Lara Mardell

Lara provides English legal and UK tax advice to individuals and trustees, particularly those with international connections, including the US, Canada, the Far East, the Middle East and Europe. She frequently works with local professionals from these jurisdictions, coordinating cross-border advice.

Lara advises individuals moving to or leaving the UK, and frequently advises on UK taxes applying to structures holding UK assets including real estate, and on restructuring to address recent changes in the tax rules.

She has considerable experience of establishing and working with cross-jurisdictional structures and combining onshore and offshore laws.

Prior to joining BDB Pitmans, Lara practiced for eight years in Hong Kong, where she advised clients from around Asia, UK expatriates and trustees on UK tax issues. Lara is also familiar with the laws of Jersey, Guernsey, BVI and Cayman.

Lara is included in the Citywealth Leaders List and has been recommended by Who’s Who Legal.
