Laura Binnie

Laura is a legal director in the employment team and advises a range of clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. She has substantial experience in representation throughout employment tribunal proceedings, with a particular expertise and interest in cases of disability discrimination.

Laura also regularly advises on both strategic and day-to-day HR issues including drafting contracts of employment, staff handbook policies, advice on various disciplinary and grievance issues, whistleblowing, family friendly rights, as well as redundancy and restructuring processes, corporate support, and negotiating terminations of employment.

In her contentious work, Laura has particular experience of acting for both businesses and individuals, having represented large national plcs as well as a prominent trade union in the employment tribunal, and having undertaken her own advocacy.

Laura regularly writes articles and blogs on topical employment law issues and provides training to clients through seminars and practical workshops.
