Oliver is a commercial litigation partner specialising in contentious public law.
He has extensive experience in judicial review and other public law actions, acting for (U)HNW businesspeople, politicians, medical and law enforcement professionals, and companies in the hospitality, real estate, transportation, and tech industries, amongst others.
Oliver also has significant experience in heavy-weight commercial litigation, media, and reputation management and is noted for his work with ‘politicians, trade unions, and the police’ as well as regulatory and white collar crime. Oliver is ranked Tier 1 in the Legal 500 for reputation management.

- Acting on behalf of Sacha Lord, the nighttime economy advisor to the Mayor of Greater Manchester, in a number of judicial reviews challenging COVID-19 regulations concerning the hospitality sector.
- Acting for a large US based public sector youth custody provider in a number of procurement challenges.
- Advising a former senior member of the government of a Gulf state and his family in respect of an application for committal proceedings in the Court of Appeal.
- Tosi Limited v. 99 Hippos Limited [2023] EWHC 82, bringing and defending an unfair prejudice petition.
- Acting for a luxury watch dealer to recover stock taken by the National Crime Agency.
- Advising a Police and Crime Commissioner in respect of an IOPC investigation and subsequent public law matters.
- Bringing over 20 applications for judicial review for an FX company following an investigation by a UK police force into suspected money laundering.
