Services

Pj is a second-year trainee, currently undertaking her third seat in the firm’s employment department, where she assists with both contentious and non-contentious issues for companies and individuals on a wide range of employment matters, including defending claims in the employment tribunal and settlements.

Pj’s first seat was in the firm’s real estate: new build department, a team which specialises in all aspects of development set up including advice on freehold, leasehold and mixed-use sites; management companies, infrastructure agreements, shared ownership and ground rent investor sales. An integral part of her role was to offer knowledge and experience of market trends, including the challenges facing residential developers.

As part of her training contract, Pj completed a six-month legal secondment at ExxonMobil, a multinational oil and gas company. During this time, she worked with ExxonMobil’s in-house legal teams across the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions to advise on litigation matters, employment / HR queries, property administration matters, strategic alliance agreements, oil and gas exploration and production contracts, complex multi-party and non-disclosure agreements. Her work focused on researching and advising on domestic and international laws and regulations that govern the use of low-carbon solutions and carbon capture and storage technologies in the EU and US.

Pj is also a qualified pharmacist and prior to commencing her training contract, she locumed as a community pharmacist and also worked as a paralegal at a small family law firm in Ascot, managing her own caseload of up to 20 domestic violence and private children law matters.
