Tim is a very experienced litigation practitioner who specialises in information technology disputes, commercial claims, company law disputes, franchising law and private client disputes.
He acts in all divisions of the High Court and is experienced in international and domestic arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution including mediation.
Tim has substantial expertise in the IT sector acting for software vendors, distributors, systems integrators, resellers and customers.
He has a particular interest in company law matters including directors’ duties, shareholder disputes including unfair prejudice petitions, derivative claims, warranty claims and disputes involving family companies.

Career Highlights
- Two week trial in the High Court in relation to allegations of breaches of duty and unfair prejudice against the directors of a high street retailer
- Successfully advising a global telecommunications company in a multi-party claim against contractors, engineers and facilities management specialists in respect of defective premises and consequential losses of income
- Represented an IT services company and its owners at a trial, successfully resisting allegations of breach of contractual terms and the enforcement of security, which would have given the other party control of the company
- Successfully defended an IT company in relation to a claim regarding the termination of a contract to supply data storage services to a government opening
- Acted for many majority and minority shareholders in cases of unfair prejudice and other shareholder disputes
