Zoe is an associate in the employment team and assists professional services firms, companies, charities, public bodies and individuals on a wide range of employment matters.
She regularly advises on employment cases in the Employment Tribunal and provides support throughout all stages of a claim. She has wide-ranging experience in assisting clients defend claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination and contractual disputes.
Zoe also supports clients with day-to-day issues such as managing poor performance, advising on disciplinary, capability and grievance processes, conducting internal investigations, redundancy processes and providing support during staff consultations. She regularly assists clients as they carry out reviews of employment contracts and workplace policies to ensure that they are fit for purpose and meet the relevant legislative requirements. In addition, she advises clients in situations where they may wish to hold protected conversations with staff and prepares settlement agreements where appropriate.
In addition, Zoe frequently provides legislative updates and in-house training sessions. Recently, she has given training sessions on flexible working, parental policies, collective redundancy consultation processes and participated in mock employment tribunal events.
