Zoe trained at the firm during which she completed seats with the corporate, employment, commercial, restructuring and insolvency teams. During her time with the restructuring and insolvency team, she worked on both contentious and non-contentious administration and liquidation matters. Zoe’s experience with the commercial and employment teams encompassed the drafting and reviewing of a range of commercial documents, GDPR guidance and policies, heads of terms, IP licenses and privacy policies, attending Employment Tribunal hearings, preparing Tribunal submissions, drafting consultancy agreements and employment contracts.
As part of her training contract, Zoe was placed on secondment to the legal department at ExxonMobil. She worked in the UK legal team providing advice directly to commercial advisors across the ExxonMobil / Esso group on a range of matters. This included co-ordinating high-value third party transfers, drafting deeds, assisting on litigation and internal employment matters and reviewing and amending a variety of agreements relating to offshore operations in the North Sea.
Prior to starting as a trainee, Zoe worked within BDB Pitmans’ corporate team where she was responsible for a variety of paralegal tasks and carried out Company Secretarial duties for both the firm and over 100 clients. This involved Companies House filings, taking minutes at client board meetings, drafting board and shareholder resolutions and incorporating new companies.
