Areas of employment law to focus on in 2020
The new year brings changes in employment law and the key annual date for employment legislation in 2020 will be 6 April, as it has been historically been.
Significant changes for 2020 will include amends to statement of particulars issued to employees, IR35 rules and developments in case law where the outcome of the cases could have costly ramifications. With these upcoming legal changes on the horizon, HR should consider a number of resolutions surrounding employment contracts and consultancy agreements, reviewing recruitment processes and staying updated on developing areas of laws and key cases.
