BDB Pitmans hire strengthens London pensions team

Leading law firm, BDB Pitmans, is delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Rush as legal director in their pensions team.
Alex joins from Stephenson Harwood, where he trained and practised for over 13 years. He has built up a wealth of experience providing clear and methodical advice to trustees and sponsors of Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) schemes on all aspects of pensions and employee benefits law. His expertise extends to scheme restructurings, risk reduction exercises (such as scheme closures and buyouts), pension scheme governance, investment and funding matters and advising on pensions issues in the context of corporate transactions and public sector outsourcing. Alex also has niche expertise on group life assurance trusts.
In addition to his private practice work, Alex has undertaken two secondments to the Board of the Pension Protection Fund and acted as a DB scheme secretary for 7 years. He is an active contributor to the pensions industry, speaking regularly at seminars and conferences, and is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.
