Can I change my flat from leasehold to commonhold?

Legal advisers have reported that an increasing number of clients have contacted them to express their frustrations over their leasehold homes and their poor relationship with the owner of their freehold. This has led to a growing interest in another form of home ownership known as commonhold and an increase in queries on the possibility of transferring a property from leasehold to commonhold.
