Employers fear the consequences of shadow AI
With research showing that increasing numbers of employees are using ‘Shadow AI’, companies are encouraged to impose strict policies on the use of AI in the workplace.
In order to avoid the significant legal ethical and operational risks that the unregulated use of AI can pose, partner Nicholas Le Riche emphasises the importance of having a policy in place, in an article for the Times.
Nicholas Le Riche advises:
‘Crucially, the policy should expressly confirm that it applies to the use of AI on both an employee’s own device as well as work devices and it should also explain that content generated by AI applications will be monitored.’
