Home / News and Insights / Press / Green economy reacts to King’s Speech

This year the King’s speech revealed the UK Government’s proposed plans to expand oil and gas licensing as a significant aspect of the policy focus for 2024.

In an article for Edie.net, partner Angus Walker comments on the juxtaposing link between fossil fuel licenses and the net-zero targets.

Angus Walker states:

‘The Government will have to tread a careful line because if this makes the North Sea oil and gas too expensive for its intended customers, they may seek alternatives elsewhere.’
