Increase in claims under the Inheritance Act 1975 due to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has sadly resulted in an increase in unexpected deaths during the last few months which will inevitably lead to a rise in the number of claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. These claims often arise when a person has died without having made a will or they may have made a will many years ago and omitted to update it to reflect changes in their circumstances.
