The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 (CIGA) came into force on 26 June 2020 and introduces significant changes to the insolvency landscape, some of which are temporary in effect (for example the COVID-19 related restrictions on presenting petitions based on statutory demands), whilst others are permanent.

Tim Barwick, Consultant in our commercial real estate team and Suzanne Brooker, Partner in our restructuring and insolvency team, discuss this subject in an article for Construction Law.
