Permitted development rules: higher you climb, harder you fall

In August 2020, new Permitted Development Rules (PDRs) came into force which could provide for a large boost to the government’s housing target of 300,000 ‘new’ homes a year by 2025. These PDRs allow for buildings of at least three storeys in height to build upwards to a maximum height of 30 metres.
