While wealthy foreigners have historically moved in and out of the UK, they are now departing in greater numbers. Non-doms are individuals who live in the UK but are domiciled abroad for tax purposes and pay UK taxes solely on their income earned within the country. Many are leaving or opting not to move to the UK, which is affecting property prices and leading to an increase in high-value private properties being put on the market.
