After a comprehensive induction programme our trainees receive extensive legal and interpersonal skills training to ensure their expertise and career skills are constantly developing. Trainees undergo specific technical training in each seat in addition to the mandatory Professional Skills Course (PSC). Great emphasis is also placed on interpersonal skills such as networking and client management so when you qualify you have the breadth of skills required to be an excellent solicitor.
Opportunities during your training contract
Whilst we have offices in Cambridge, London, Reading and Southampton, our trainees are based in a ‘home’ office. When applying we will ask you to express a preference to be based in one of these locations.
Over four six month seats you will receive excellent legal training. You can expect to spend the majority of your training in your home location, but maybe required to travel to another office. All of our trainees will have the opportunity to express a preference for any of the seats available across all of our locations. Although it is not guaranteed, we will try to accommodate your preferences.

To support your legal studies we provide sponsorship for the GDL, LPC and SQE. This includes payment of full fees for courses which are yet to be completed. If you have already completed the GDL or LPC we do still welcome your application.
We have agreed a menu of LPC electives, which are related to our practice areas, that our trainees can select. If you are successful in obtaining a training contract with us we provide further guidance before you make your final elective choices.
We also welcome applicants who are qualifying through the Solicitors Qualifying Exam.
