Southampton Property Show 2019

We are delighted to be sponsoring the Southampton Property Show, taking place on Thursday 12 September 2019. Over 1,000 delegates from across Hampshire attended Southampton’s largest property investment, business and networking event last year.

Held at the prestigious AA 5 star rated Southampton Harbour Hotel at Ocean Village, the event will provide networking opportunities for delegates which will include landlords, investors and property professionals.

This year’s seminar programme focuses on current affairs, legislation and practice advice.

John Stephenson, partner in our residential property team, will be speaking at the session titled ‘In a Flat Spin – the end in sight for leasehold homes?’ covering:

• government proposals for the elimination of ground rents;
• the Parliamentary report on leaseholds; and
• the Law Commission’s review of the rules for enfranchisement and lease extensions of flats and houses.

The session will take place in Seminar Room 1 at 12.40 – 1.00pm.

Tristan Ward, head of our landed estates and agriculture team, will be speaking at the session titled ‘The Landed Estate – what’s next?’ in Seminar Room 2 at 2.25 – 2.45pm.
