Helen Johnston (a tribute)
We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our colleague, Helen Johnston, who was recognised as a leading lawyer in the private client real estate sector.
At work, Helen was a consummate lawyer and splendid colleague. She captivated everyone with her wit, charm and professionalism. At play, she was great fun, and enjoyed a wide range of passions and interests.
Despite decades over here, Helen was indelibly Northern Irish and, for instance, remained at the heart of a group of old school friends. Helen’s voluntary work spanned acting as a guide at Saint Paul’s Cathedral (where she married Simon) and, at the other end of the scale, manning a night shelter at their local church in Hackney.
Helen and Simon shared a common love of travel (particularly by sea) and of the arts, including opera, theatre and literature.
She was a force of nature and will be missed more than words can say.
