Alice Balcombe

Alice’s principal area of expertise is the financial proceedings of divorce and negotiating a financial settlement. She has acted for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals within the financial services industry, and her work involves substantial assets, complex financial structures and business interests, as well as an overseas element.

Alice’s work often involves undertaking forensic examination to locate undisclosed or hidden assets and she has worked on a number of cases where a spouse’s assets are held by third parties. She has also assisted in a number of high profile cases involving contested trusts within divorce proceedings in the High Court.

Alice advises unmarried couples on family matters and has acted for clients on financial claims for children in Schedule 1 Children Act proceedings and on Trusts of Land disputes.

She advises separated parents in resolving the arrangements for the care of their children and other child related issues including parental responsibility, specific issues orders, applications to remove the child from the jurisdiction permanently and abduction.

Alice has significant experience drafting and advising clients embarking on married life in regard to pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
