Charlotte Nugent

Solicitor

Profile

Charlotte is a newly qualified solicitor in the employment team working on contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Charlotte has just completed her second year of training, most recently completing a six-month secondment to ExxonMobil, where she worked in the UK legal team providing advice directly to both commercial, employment and data privacy advisors across the ExxonMobil/ Esso group on a range of matters. Charlotte undertook contract reviews, commercial drafting and heavily assisted in employment and GDPR matters.

Prior to this, Charlotte completed her third seat in the employment team where she provided close assistance to professional services firms, companies, charities and individuals on a wide range of employment issues including defending claims in the employment tribunal, assisting with settlement and COT3 agreements as well as assisting on certain issues from COVID-19 and the Government support schemes for employers to contract and policy reviews.

Charlotte’s second seat was in the pensions team, in which she assisted in a variety of scheme matters including the consolidation and amendment of trust deeds and scheme buy-outs. She also assisted in providing updates on the latest developments in pensions law.

Charlotte’s first seat was in the litigation department where she assisted with property litigation, construction disputes and product liability matters. She assisted and attended multiple mediations and court hearings. In particular, with the guidance and support from members of the team, she was given the responsibility to guide and advise a client on a construction matter which subsequently resulted in mediation.
