What are the alternatives to court for a divorcing couple in lockdown?

A reader of the Financial Times is in the middle of an acrimonious divorce, but they are concerned as they have two young children and therefore hope to avoid costly litigation whilst resolving financial matters as quickly as possible. They also would like to understand which cost-effective alternatives to court are available.
