Top 100 UK law firm, BDB Pitmans, has acted for specialist financial advisors SPARK Advisory Partners Limited (SPARK Advisory) and Oberon Capital on the AIM listing of 4Global PLC (4Global). The listing raised £4 million via its initial public offering (IPO). At admission to AIM on 7 December 2021, the market capitalisation of the company was circa £24 million.
Founded in 2002, 4Global is a UK-based data, services and software sports and health company which focuses on major sporting events and the promotion and measurement of physical activity. It delivers its proprietary software and data platform, Sport Intelligence, as a key service. Using its proprietary data and software solutions to convert data into actionable insight, the company promotes sports participation in order to reduce physical inactivity and to achieve economic, social, and healthcare outcomes.
Since inception, 4Global has been involved in a variety of major sporting events, ranging from the 2021 Tokyo, 2016 Rio and 2012 London Olympics, to the 2019 Pan American Games.
The AIM listing and proceeds of the fundraising will help accelerate the growth of 4Global. This includes acquiring complementary businesses or product lines to promote further development of the company’s technology platform, and to provide additional working capital.
SPARK Advisory acted as nominated adviser and Oberon Capital as broker to 4Global.
