BDB Pitmans recognised in The Times Best Law Firms 2024
The Times has published its 2024 guide to the top legal practices in England, Wales and Scotland across business, public and private client law. This annual initiative, compiled by international research company Statista, is based solely on feedback received by lawyers.
In the latest listings, BDB Pitmans has been commended for charities and planning law.
BDB Pitmans was referred to as a ‘leader in infrastructure planning’ with The Times citing the firm’s involvement in a number of notable renewable energy projects over the past year, including advising on the landmark matter of the first material amendment to a Development Consent Order. In aviation, the firm’s involvement with the Luton Rising project was also noted.
The Times also praised the charities team for its involvement in a landmark Supreme Court ruling against the London borough of Merton. Acting for one of the UK’s largest charities Nuffield Health, in a case concerning mandatory charity rates relief in England, Judges unanimously upheld a ruling in favour of Nuffield Health to receive a mandatory 80 per cent relief from business rates for a members-only gym in south London.
