Nick helps professional services firms, companies and charities with a wide range of employment and HR issues.
He deals with day to day advisory work for organisations in relation to disciplinary and grievance matters and also drafts tailored employment contracts, policies and procedures and employee handbooks. Nick has considerable experience of acting for organisations with high levels of trade union membership and helping them manage all aspects of employee and industrial relations issues. He has particular expertise in advising on internal restructures and reorganisations as well as transfer of undertakings (Protection of Employment) transfers, and has also recently advised on the employment aspects of large scale corporate transactions and floats.
Nick regularly advises on employment cases in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and High Court. He has recently acted for organisations defending complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and he has considerable experience in the rapidly developing area of employment status.
He also advises senior individuals on all aspects of their employment needs and has extensive experience of advising individuals in the financial services sector on discrimination and harassment complaints as well as on high value settlement negotiations, team moves and restrictive covenant issues.
