Road charges – coming soon to a city near you

Bath, the first Clean Air Zone scheme outside central London, is carefully preparing the ground to prevent a backlash. Although confined to a small historic area of Bath, it is reported that £20 million in set-up costs will be incurred and that there will be running costs of approximately £2 million a year for the next decade.
