Leading law firm BDB Pitmans is delighted to announce its win for Metaverse Innovation at this year’s Legal Innovation Awards.

Now in their ninth year, the Legal Innovation Awards hosted by Law.com recognise excellence in innovation from private practice, in-house legal departments and suppliers.

The Awards bring together leading professionals from the UK’s top firms to celebrate the crucial role that lawyers working collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines – such as marketing, business development, project management and PR – plays in promoting innovation. Judged by a panel of eighteen industry experts, this annual awards ceremony is highly regarded across the legal sector.

This year’s winners were revealed today at a ceremony at the Hilton London Bankside, London at which it was announced that the firm had won the Private Practice category for Metaverse Innovation. This category celebrates innovation relating to activity in the Metaverse, recognising the firm’s Tech sector team for the efforts behind the Tech+ project.

BDB Pitmans’ Tech+ project was created with clients in mind. Assembling a specialist sector team, known as the Tech+ team, enabled the firm to utilise its cross-practice expertise to give clients a uniquely holistic experience. It also allowed the firm to become a one-stop-shop for clients seeking advice on a wide range of matters in the Web3 sector including NFTs, Blockchain, DeFi, and the Metaverse.

As part of the project, the team launched a monthly newsletter and accompanying website page providing insights into key developments in the Metaverse and Web3 world, designed to provide clear and comprehensible advice by highlighting how advancements in this complex and challenging area of law may impact client operations.

You can find out more about this offering and read all the articles to-date on the Tech+ homepage.

Of the win, partner and Tech sector team lead, Dennis Lee, commented:

‘It is an honour to be recognised amongst the most impressive minds of the legal industry, not just for our innovative work but for our creativity. With the support of our expert Marketing team, we were able to create Tech+ – a vehicle uniquely equipped to help us to share our ideas and knowledge well beyond the organisation in order to deliver genuine value for our clients and the wider business community.’
