BDB Pitmans advises Derive Logic Limited on its investment from The Carlyle Group

BDB Pitmans acted for Derive Logic Limited on its investment from The Carlyle Group, a transaction which supports the management team’s future development and growth plans. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

Derive Logic provides services and solutions to enable clients to achieve effective IT governance, assure digital transformation, manage their risk, compliance and performance. Its clients use Derive Logic’s strategic consulting services and managed services to optimise their IT investment while avoiding unnecessary costs and reducing financial risk.

The BDB Pitmans team acting on the transaction was corporate partner John Hutchinson and corporate partner Stephanie Perry.

Chris Gough, Chief Digital Officer of Derive Logic Limited, said:

‘The legal advice and support from BDB Pitmans was excellent throughout what was a critical transaction for Derive Logic, helping us achieve a successful outcome. The team at BDB Pitmans helped us ensure that we were always one step ahead of the legal process and made sure that our time was focused on each critical part with the minimum of business distraction. Our success in this endeavour was no small part to every member of the BDB Pitmans team doing an excellent job and keeping us well managed.’

John Hutchinson, corporate partner at BDB Pitmans, comments:

‘The transaction was the latest for us in a succession of M&A transactions in the IT sector; part of the economy that shows little if any sign of slowing down. The BDB Pitmans team achieved its goal of ensuring our clients started their new association with Carlyle Group in the best way possible and the transaction completed in line with the expectations we had set on timing and terms. We look forward to following the success of the Derive shareholders in their new partnership.’
