BDB Pitmans is delighted to announce the appointment of Vandana Chitroda and William Roberts-Phelps as Partner and Senior Associate respectively in its highly regarded Family law team.

Vandana brings over 18 years of experience, having previously been a Family Partner at a  City of London and then a West End firm. She was the Head of Family law at her previous firm.

Vandana has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in family law, regularly advising on pre-nuptial agreements, divorce, civil partnership, cohabitation disputes and child arrangements and is also a Resolution member. She is particularly experienced in handling mid to high-net-worth financial settlements with an international element, such as businesses or assets in foreign jurisdictions and offshore trusts. She also boasts specialist expertise in relation to the application of cryptocurrency assets on divorce as well as intervenor (third party) cases requiring joinder applications. Vandana has been widely quoted in the press on this subject and has given training in collaboration with MBL.

William’s practice includes all aspects of family law, including matrimonial finances, children cases, injunctive proceedings, divorce suits and pre-nuptial agreements. He was previously shortlisted for the LawNet Awards 2022 Rising Star award.

BDB Pitmans’ Family team operate from London, Reading, Southampton and Cambridge and is acknowledged by leading legal directory Chambers and Partners UK for its ability to ‘suggest constructive, strong and practical solutions’. The team regularly advise high net worth clients with international assets and also deal with jurisdiction disputes for divorce cases or family trusts.

Vandana and William will be based principally in the firm’s London office, providing support to colleagues and clients across the business. They will work closely with the wider Tax, Trusts and Property departments in order to provide clients with a comprehensive service.
