BDB Pitmans have successfully assisted UK-based investment firm, Inspirit Capital, with their latest acquisition of the Spaldings group, UK and Ireland’s largest distributor of tillage aftermarket equipment, from Marubeni Corporation, the listed Japanese conglomerate. The acquisition was funded by monies from Inspirit Capital’s Fund I, as well as a £10 million funding line from Leumi ABL.
The BDB Pitmans team was led by corporate partner, Robert Chidley, who was assisted by Dan King, Mireille Turner, Thomas Lane and Gabriella Jack on both the M&A and financing elements, Alex Barnes on tax, Nick Le Riche and Laura Binnie on employment and Bhaminee Sharma and Jinita Pandhak on real estate.
